34 Truly I say unto you, this GENERATION shall not pass, until all these things be fulfilled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Who or what does the FIG TREE represent?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hosea 9:10<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I found ISRAEL like grapes in the wilderness; I saw your fathers as the first ripe in the FIG TREE…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ISRAEL = FIG TREE<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When is SUMMER?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Israel and all of the Northern Hemisphere, SUMMER begins on either June 20th<\/sup> or 21st<\/sup> at the Summer Solstice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How long is a GENERATION?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Genesis 15<\/p>\n\n\n\n

13 And He said unto Abram, Know of a surety that THY SEED shall be a stranger in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them 400 years;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

14 And also that nation, whom they shall serve, will I judge: and afterward shall they come out with great substance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

15 And thou shalt go to thy fathers in peace; thou shalt be buried in a good old age.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

16 But in the 4th<\/sup> GENERATION they shall come hither again: for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet full.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Israelites will be \u201ca stranger in a land that is not theirs\u201d for 400 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This includes both the years spent in Canaan & Egypt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the \u201c4th<\/sup> GENERATION\u201d, the Israelites would return to Canaan.\u00a0 Therefore, the Israelites would spend 3 GENERATIONS in Egypt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If we can determine how long the Israelites spent in Canaan before going down to Egypt, then we can subtract this number from the total 400 years that they would be \u201ca stranger in a land that is not theirs.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Genesis 21:5<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And Abraham was an hundred years old, when his son ISAAC(THE SEED) was born unto him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

THE SEED of Abraham is born in Canaan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Genesis 25:26<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And after that came his brother out, and his hand took hold on Esau’s heel; and his name was called JACOB: and ISAAC was 60 years old when she bare them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ISAAC is 60 when JACOB is born in Canaan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Genesis 47:9<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And JACOB said unto Pharaoh, The days of the years of my pilgrimage are 130 years: few and evil have the days of the years of my life been, and have not attained unto the days of the years of the life of my fathers in the days of their pilgrimage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

JACOB is 130 when he leaves Canaan and the Israelites enter into Egypt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Israelites will be \u201ca stranger in a land that is not theirs\u201d for 400 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ISAAC is 60 when JACOB is born in Canaan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

JACOB is 130 when he leaves Canaan and the Israelites enter into Egypt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

60 + 130 = 190 Years in Canaan<\/p>\n\n\n\n

400 \u2013 190 = 210 Years in Egypt<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Israelites spend 210 years in Egypt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Israelites spend 3 GENERATIONS in Egypt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

210 Years \u00f7 3 GENERATIONS = 70 Years<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Therefore, 1 GENERATION = 70 Years<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PARABLE OF THE FIG TREE<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3 THINGS WE HAVE LEARNED:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1) Fig Tree = Israel<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2) Summer starts June 20th<\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n

3) Generation = 70 Years<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ISRAEL BECOMES A SEEDLING OF A NATION<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On May 14, 1948, David Ben-Gurion, the Executive Head of the World Zionist Organization and president of the Jewish Agency for Palestine, declared “the establishment of a Jewish State in Eretz Israel, to be known as the State of Israel,” a state independent upon the termination of the British Mandate for Palestine, 15 May 1948.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Israel becomes a seedling of a nation in 1948.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ISRAEL PUTS FORTH LEAVES<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cwhen his branch is yet tender, and puts forth leaves\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Six-Day War, also known as the June War, or 1967 Arab-Israeli War, was fought between June 5 and 10, 1967, by Israel and the neighboring 3 states of Egypt, Jordan, and Syria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Within 6 days, Israel had won a decisive land war.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Israeli forces had taken control of 5 territories – Gaza Strip, Sinai Peninsula, West Bank, East Jerusalem, and the Golan Heights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SUMMER is near.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cwhen his branch is yet tender, and puts forth leaves, you know that SUMMER IS NEAR\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 6 Day War concluded on June 10, 1967.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is exactly 10 days from the Summer Solstice on June 20, 1967, which is the beginning of SUMMER.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis GENERATION Shall Not Pass\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A GENERATION is 70 Years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1967 + 70 = 2037<\/p>\n\n\n\n
